Bluejacket 27

First Bluejacket 27 under construction in Beaufort, SC

The Bluejacket 27 was first designed for a client in St Helena Island, SC. She wanted a boat just like the BJ 24 but with a large cockpit for fishing in the coastal area where she lives. I started at midships and designed a new hull from there aft to a transom just like the BJ 24.

Builder Carl Hahn is shown with the partially completed hull.

BJ27 cockpit. It is much more spacious than the BJ24.

BJ27 foredeck and anchor well. Identical to the BJ24.

BJ27 portside storage drawers. Slightly different interpretation from teh prototype but very nice.

BJ27 foreward cabin. The shelf has been lowered from the prototype and will be more comfortable to lean back against.

Sally's Bluejacket 27 looking great in its new coat of paint and getting ready for launch in Spring 2008.
