First Bluejacket 27 under construction in Beaufort, SC

The Bluejacket 27 was first designed for a client in St Helena Island, SC. She wanted a boat just like the BJ 24 but with a large cockpit for fishing in the coastal area where she lives. I started at midships and designed a new hull from there aft to a transom just like the BJ 24.

Builder Carl Hahn is shown with the partially completed hull.

Cockpit area is much larger than on the Bluejacket 24

Anchor well and fordeck area

Forward sleeping cabin. The shelves have been lowered from those on "Liz" for more comfort when seated..

Portside storage drawers are slightly changed with a cubby at the bottom.
